High-Efficiency Toilet (HET) Rebate Program

Efficient homes not only help customers save on utility bills but also contribute to reducing our community's overall energy use. Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) has taken a significant step in promoting high-efficiency homes by adding 0.8 gallon-per-flush toilets to its Builder Incentive Program. This initiative aims to partially offset upfront costs associated with constructing energy-efficient homes.

Rebate Details

CSU is offering a rebate of $100 per toilet, with a maximum rebate of $300 per house. To make the process convenient for builders, EnergyLogic can conduct the verification inspection at the time of another final inspection for an additional $50 per house.

Stackable Incentives

Builders have the opportunity to stack the toilet rebate with other technology-based products, Home Energy Rating System (HERS), and beyond-code program incentives. These rebates are directed to the builder from CSU.

How to Participate

To take advantage of this rebate program, builders can visit the CSU Builder Incentive Program page to complete the necessary form. It's important to note that the same form is required annually to participate in any CSU builder rebate program. The form must be on file with CSU before inspections can be conducted, as rebates are processed only after the builder has completed the signup.

Qualifying Toilets

Builders are encouraged to choose toilets from the list of qualifying toilets. MaP Premium toilets work 70% better than the current Water Sense requirement.
