Professional Experience

Phil is the initial point of contact in the Southern Colorado region to review project details, programs, and outlines of the services to be provided by EnergyLogic. He is our go-to for information on proposals, contracts, and the development of EnergyLogic's scope of services. Phil is a Certified RESNET^® Energy Rater, ICC code inspector and NGBS Verifier. He has been in the building world for over 25 years and in building science for over 10.

What passions, talents, or interests do you bring to your position at EL?

This job has always been the perfect fit to blend my knowledge of buildings ranging from fixing and turning rental and apartments to many different trades in the industry to building and superintending for a custom builder to warranty work with a national home builder with my love of teaching and working with people to improve and build better homes.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love not being behind a desk all day. I enjoy the variety of what I have been able to do while hopefully making houses of all ages perform better and safer.

How do you describe your role?

A high paced blend of: driving around in circles, inspecting homes, talking, teaching many different people, and making homes better one at a time.

I am a Colorado landscape painter.

How do you spend your free time?

I am a classic Colorado kid (4th generation Coloradan!) that has always loved all sports Colorado from hiking & climbing, to snowboarding & skiing, to fishing & simply watching the clouds blow by.
