As we draw the curtain on 2021 and look out to 2022, we may have a sense of déjà vu. It’s been a weird and challenging couple of years. Perhaps more than I can ever remember, we can see how deeply connected we all are in this industry. If you pull on one thread of the ecosystem that we occupy in homebuilding, you see how it can all begin to unravel.

Yet, we didn’t unravel despite everything! No, we adapted, figured it out, and are still here! We’ve continued to do the things that we do to make it happen through it all. Whether builder, trade, or other party involved in creating the spaces that people will call home, we all show up day in and day out to get the job done. I’m proud of the people at EnergyLogic for what we’ve done throughout 2021. I’m thankful to all of our builder partners for the work with which you’ve blessed us. I look forward to an even more successful and hopefully less chaotic 2022.

In 2021, EnergyLogic became a B Corporation™. We did that for a variety of reasons, all of which are ultimately reflections of what we value in the world. The infographic that accompanies this message tells a bit more about that. I also look forward to a full year of pushing our mission and vision forward.

Finally, I’d like to offer our thanks and our appreciation for all the site supervisors and trades that we work with every day. We can and should be proud to work together; we take the homes that are built to a better, higher-performance place—a big shout out to the 2021 Supers of the Month for you define professionalism and pride in the craft that we all work towards.

Happy Holidays,
